OPTION 1

GOLF – Cost R275 per person including golf cart sharing
Put your skills to the test on our 18-hole championship golf course, designed by H ugh Baiocchi to provide an exciting challenge whatever your handicap.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Champagne and Cathkin Peaks, this course offers the golfer not only a superb challenge of golf on a perfectly manicured layout but also a scenic experience that is reward enough.

THE GREENS:

All the Greens are of the highest quality and are planted with L93 bent-grass which have proven extremely suitable for the region, particularly in winter where the greens remain ‘green’, receptive and true to line.

THE BUNKERS:

The 84 well appointed and well shaped bunkers that line fairways and greens all have white silica sand imported from Bronkhorstspruit and will be appreciated by professional and novice alike for their consistency.

THE FAIRWAYS:

The fairways are all planted with kikuyu grass presenting a wonderful green carpet, further enhancing the beauty of this truly unique South African Golf Course.

THE ROUGH:

Whilst badly misdirected shots will be punished, particularly in the wetlands and at the water holes, fairways are wide, bordered by light rough.

No Golf clubhouse would be complete without a 19th-Hole, and the 19th at Champagne Golf Course, as with the other areas of the clubhouse, offers superb views. The large, fully stocked pub offers golfers the perfect spot to compare notes on their experiences on this magnificent golf course, and on a winter evening the large fireplace adds a warm glow to the cosy atmosphere
